Description

The ProQual Level 3 Award in Environmental Management is aimed at managers and supervisors employed in organisations who are considering or working towards an environmental management system.

The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) is the single framework for regulated qualifications, the regulatory body for this qualification is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). This qualification is accredited onto the RQF.

Online Course

There is 1 mandatory units 8 units which you must complete, which cover a broad range of topics ranging from, promoting positive safety culture, to developing emergency procedures.

Assessment & Portfolio

Each candidate is required to produce and submit portfolio of evidence, demonstrating that you have achieved all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

  • Once you gather evidence for each of the unit, your assessor will make sure that you meet all the requirements.
  • Once the assessor is satisfied, your work will be signed off and approved.
  • We will not submit any work that we believe might not lead to a pass.
  • You will receive a feedback for improvement from our assessor if the unit is not satisfactory.

Types of Assessments

All assessments and evidence are submitted will be a combination of:-

  • Work-based assessment – set tasks to be completed and supported by work-based evidence
  • Reflective tasks – Reflections to show how you have developed from experiences at work and how your competence has improved
  • Knowledge competence check – a series of questions to validate your knowledge

Candidates must complete the 1 Mandatory unit - T/618/4530 Environmental Management

Understand the advantages and disadvantages of implementing an accredited environmental management system

Understand the purpose of and process involved in developing an effective environmental policy

Understand how to identify and evaluate an organisation’s environmental aspects and impacts

Understand the structure, function and operation of environmental law

Understand how an environmental management system can be implemented

Understand the purpose and processes of checking environmental performance including monitoring and measuring, corrective and preventative actions and auditing

Understand the reasons for producing an environmental report
